State Organizer

The New Hampshire Young Democrats is seeking a highly motivated State Organizer to help ensure Democratic victories across the state. Since 2016, the New Hampshire Young Democrats have grown from 400 to over 6,000 members; hosted over 120 events; organized 5 college campuses and 10 high schools; helped elect over 40 Young Democrats to state and local office. Now with 34 Young Democrats declared to run for the House this year, 2018 is going to be a critical year for the New Hampshire Young Democrats.


The New Hampshire Young Democrats is a statewide grassroots organization and are in an unprecedented time of energy and participation of young people in the democratic process.

Duties Include:

  • Assist the Executive Director in developing and implementing a multi-phase statewide organizing plan for campus and community legislative advocacy and electoral organizing

  • Help coordinate and maintain public facing and internal websites and communications

  • Work with our partners and allies to identify and fill gaps in political infrastructure

  • Recruit, train and manage volunteers to execute direct voter contact strategy

  • Develop and Implement a canvassing plan

  • Grow and maintain the College and High School Democrat clubs to run direct voter contact program and get out the vote operation

  • Meet and exceed weekly voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals

  • Complete timely data entry and management

  • Represent the New Hampshire Young Democrats at events and meetings

  • General office management

  • Other duties as assigned



  • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people

  • Natural time management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and tasks

  • Experience working with volunteers

  • Proficient knowledge of a political campaign general organizing structure and VoteBuilder/VAN, is a strong plus

  • Willingness to work long hours, often including nights and weekends

  • At least one previous cycle of campaign organizing experience

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle

  • Ties to New Hampshire are welcomed, but not required

  • Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the organization


This is a full-time position is based in Concord, NH
