NHYD Statement on Chris Sununu’s Failure to Denounce President Trump’s Un-American Immigration Executive Order

Concord, NH – Following a weekend of massive protests against President Trump’s immigration executive order across New England and the country, Jay Chittidi of Nashua, the son of two Granite State immigrants, released the following statement:

“Governor Sununu’s silence in speaking out against this un-American and grossly inhumane executive order is simply unacceptable. New Hampshire must remain a welcoming, global community, especially for the women and children who have suffered unspeakable horrors. “It is time for Governor Sununu to stand up and denounce this executive order that is tearing families apart, weakening our communities, and tarnishing the fundamental values that our state and country were built on. In situations of injustice, apathy always works in favor of the oppressor.”
